Media Training update
A stimulating media training session yesterday – the second of two – with an industrial company on Teesside. Former newspaper editor Paul Robertson provided delegates with an overview of the changing media and stressed how important it was to be on the front foot, particularly via social media, during a newsworthy incident.
We then put delegates through a series of exercises, simulating a recorded radio interview, a live radio interview, a recorded television interview and live television interview.
The feedback was very positive although, after playing a Paxmanesque role, I do not expect too many extra Christmas cards this year.
